and beside u notice that cech usually pass the ball to defenders instead of kicking the ball upfield to the midfielders and strikers as they are assured possession by passing the ball to the defenders.
unless they are down by 1-0 and not much time left then they pump the ball from keeper/defenders.
If that is their intention then they should just replace the grass altogether... Many Epl clubs re-do their field by replacing the whole pitch... that is cutting up the grass area in square pcs and replace brand new ones over it through out the whole field... wouldn't it be better this way rather than pouring sand over their pitch?
