Super Sunday MatchLIVERPOOL keeper Jose Reina admitted last night: I fear defeat at Old Trafford will kill our title dream.
The Merseysiders would be a staggering 11 points behind Manchester United should their domestic away-day blues linger on and that with just nine games gone.
But Reina realises another slip against United could be fatal. He said: “We know we are losing ground. Eight points behind Manchester United is too far.
“We have to keep going and fighting for everything. But if they win, there will be 11 points between us and that could be too much. We have to try to win there, though we know it won’t be easy.”
This season they have managed to keep out only Tottenham and Newcastle in the Premiership and Reina has come in for mounting criticism. Yet Benitez has never lost faith in him.
Reina added: “It hasn’t been easy lately but the most important thing is the relationship between the manager and me.
“I believe in myself as I know what I can do and how I can perform.
