Rosicky suffers hamstring injury
TomᚠRosický is battling to be fit for Arsenal FCs home encounter with Hamburger SV that could go a long way to determining their UEFA Champions League fate this season.
The 26-year-old playmaker has suffered a hamstring injury in training and has definitely been ruled out of the Premiership home games against Liverpool FC this Sunday and Newcastle United FC a week on Saturday.
Hamburg then travel to London on 21 November with Arsenal needing victory to keep the pressure on Group G leaders PFC CSKA Moskva, who are a point ahead in the section.
Rosický, who joins Fredrik Ljungberg (calf), Júlio Baptista (hamstring), Lauren (knee) and Abou Diaby (ankle) on the injured list, had been called by the Czech Republic for next weeks friendly against Denmark.

Newcastle get away draw
Newcastle get an away point in a match dominated by Manchester City for 88 minutes before a late flurry by the Toon almost gave them all threee points.
City will wonder how they failed to score as Newcastle were abject, offering little in attack and miserable in defence. Man City did see a Samaras goal disallowed, and numerous chances were created as the Newcastle defence, and most particularly Steven Carr, allowed City through time and time again.
In fact the injury to Carr will probably be seen as a blessing by Newcastle United fans on the strength of todays performance. With Babayaro missing through injury, Ramage was playing at left back where he again failed to convince.
Samaras and Corradi, both introduced as substitutes in the second half, should of clinched a win for City, but both missed repeatedly. The last five minutes it looked like Man City could rue those missed chances as Newcastle sprung to life and looked a decent team pushing City back and creating chances, but, unfortunately for them, they failed to capitalise as Micah Richards and Richard Dunne made blocks and tackles to save City.
City looked toothless and, on the strength of this performance, distinctly average. But Newcastle look nothing other than relegation fodder, poor in every third of the field and on the evidence of this performance, the best they can hope for is not to be bottom of the table come May.

Sutton scores to give Villa first away league win of the season
Chris Suttons maiden goal for Aston Villa secured a 1-0 win over Everton - his clubs first away league win of the season. Veteran Sutton struck with a neat header just before the break and Villa fought gallantly throughout the second period to hang onto the points.
Everton lost inspirational midfielder Tim Cahill with what looked like a serious leg injury in the first half, the Australian being carried off on a stretcher. Villa started brightly and Isaiah Osbourne rattled a 20-yard shot wide. Then Sutton set up Stiliyan Petrov on the edge of the box, and Tim Howard was forced into a save by his boots.
Andrew Johnson took advantage of an error by Wilfred Bouma to sprint away and he should have slid the ball into the unmarked Simon Davies path, but he chose to cut into the box himself and squandered the chance. Everton found themselves behind on 41 minutes when Sutton scored with a glancing header from Osbournes cross from the right.
Even England man Johnson could not pull Everton level. In first-half stoppage time he collected a James Beattie flick-on and raced into the box, only to fire wide from 10 yards. Three minutes after the break Lee Carsley burst clear in the box and fired wide from eight yards.
Johnsons chip then set up Carsley for a header that dropped wide and Beattie headed over from a Leon Osman free-kick. Victor Anichebe replaced Osman to give Everton more power up front, but it made little difference although the youngster had an effort charged down.

West Ham's good run comes to an end as Maccarone comes off the bench and scores
Massimo Maccarone came off the bench to claim a 1-0 victory for Middlesbrough over West Ham. The £8.15million Italian struck with 15 minutes remaining to settle a game which had limped through the first half but increased in tempo the longer it went on.
In a game of few chances, Stewart Downing had earlier gone close for Boro and Marlon Harewood for the visitors, while Aiyegbeni Yakubu wasted a glorious opportunity to put the home side ahead. Aiyegbeni Yakubu had earlier wasted a 64th-minute chance to head his side in front, while England winger Stewart Downing forced a good save from Green before the break.
In a drab first half Boro created only three chances which went begging due to a combination of sub-standard finishing, solid goalkeeping and excellent defending. Green saved comfortably from James Morrison on 22 minutes but was stretched nine minutes later by Downings drive which he turned around the post.
Jonathan Woodgate had to hack away a dangerous Nigel Reo-Coker cross, but Mark Schwarzer did not have a single save to make. The opening minutes of the second half were far more encouraging as both sides adopted a more expansive approach. Downing wasted a good opportunity on 61 minutes when he drilled a cross beyond Morrison, the only Boro man in the box.
Boro boss Gareth Southgate had earlier introduced Maccarone for Rochemback and he did the trick just when his side needed it most. Lee Cattermole won a header to send the ball into Maccarones path and he rounded the advancing Green before firing home right-footed from a tight angle.
