CHELSEA want to add South African ace Jeffrey Ntuka to their array of international stars. Blues boss Jose Mourinho is considering bringing the midfielder, 21, to Stamford Bridge as early as the January transfer window.
Ntuka, who is a client of banned agent Jonathan Barnett, met MourinhoÂ’s assistant boss Steve Clarke at a West London hotel yesterday to discuss a possible move.
And ChelseaÂ’s sporting director Frank Arnesen will watch the player in action tonight when he is due to appear in South AfricaÂ’s friendly with Egypt at BrentfordÂ’s Griffin Park ground.
Ntuka is one of his countryÂ’s most promising young players and a host of top European clubs have been monitoring his progress.
He broke into the national side shortly after moving to Belgium and his recent impressive displays have led Chelsea to believe that he may be ready for Premiership football.
