CARLOS TEVEZ paid a hefty price for his fiery Latin temper yesterday when the Argentina striker was forced to wear a BRAZIL shirt in training.
The West Ham ace also donated around £1,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital as his laughing team-mates passed sentence on his wildcat walkout.
Tevez, 22, stormed out of Upton Park in a tantrum over being substituted against Sheffield United.
The sulking star apologised for his outburst on Monday.
Instead of being fined a weekÂ’s wages, boss Alan Pardew handed the matter over to the squad in a bid to defuse the incident and retain team spirit.
Tevez stood ‘trial’ at the club’s training ground yesterday and was told to write out a cheque for charity.
But his face sunk when his team-mates brought out a shirt in the colours of ArgentinaÂ’s deadly rivals Brazil and made him put it on.
Tevez faces an uncertain future at West Ham following last week’s £107million takeover by Icelandic biscuit baron Eggert Magnusson.
He is frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities.
Meanwhile, Pardew has rapped Chelsea for letting the cat out of the bag over his interest in winger Shaun Wright-Phillips.
Blues chief executive Peter Kenyon has revealed West Ham made enquiries about the £10m-rated misfit, who has endured a frustrating 16 months since a £21m move from Manchester City.
Pardew said: “I do not want to get into an argument with them. But with regards to their business methods, all I’d say is it’s a bit unusual.”

Tevez made to wear Brazil colours.
