CESC FABREGAS feared he could have been caught up in the radioactive murder mystery.
The shocked Arsenal ace, 19, revealed: “The plot happened in a restaurant I always go to.”
Fabregas regularly ate out in London at the sushi restaurant where Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned to death.
And he was petrified to discover traces of the same polonium-210, ingested by Litvinenko, have been detected at ArsenalÂ’s Emirates Stadium.
“Although I like Japanese food a lot until everything is cleared up I won’t go back there as a precaution.”
Fabregas did not reveal whether other team-mates could have also eaten at the sushi restaurant.
Following LitvinenkoÂ’s gruesome death, his Italian contact, professor Mario Scaramella, was also struck down with radiation sickness.
Police traced the stadiumÂ’s source to ex-KGB spy Andrei Lugovoy, who watched the GunnersÂ’ clash with CSKA Moscow on November 1.
But Spanish star Fabregas was still shaken by the discovery and has vowed not to return to the Piccadilly restaurant concerned.
