LEDLEY KING admits he lies in bed dreaming of lifting the UEFA Cup for Spurs.
The White Hart Lane skipper has had visions of picking up the trophy in May and has vowed to make them a reality — 35 years after the club won the first ever final.
Tottenham have already qualified from Group B but need a draw against Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest tonight to guarantee top spot. And, even though there are plenty of big-name teams waiting for them in the knockouts, King reckons his side can go all the way and grab some glory.
The England centre-back, 26, said: “Being captain, I’ve dreamt that if we win it I’d go up and lift the cup. “It’s a team game and we all want to win as much as each other. “But I’ve not won anything in my career so far, so to win this is high on the list.
“I am aware Spurs were the first winners of the competition and so are the other players — we definitely want to get our names on the trophy and make a bit more history. “The players are aware that winning the league is not something we are likely to do but the FA Cup, Carling Cup and UEFA Cup are chances of silverware for us. “So we are taking these cups seriously and there is a feeling we could go all the way in the UEFA Cup.
