Luis Boa Morte (hamstring), Papa Bouba Diop (thigh) and Ian Pearce (back) are all expected to miss the entire Christmas programme.
But keeper Antti Niemi and left-back Franck Queudrue hope to return.
Middlesbrough welcome back Lee Cattermole from suspension but they will have to cope without Emanuel Pogatetz, who serves a ban.
Abel Xavier stands by to start in the centre of defence with Stuart Parnaby poised to slot into right-back.
Fulham manager Chris Coleman:
"We can't keep harping on about losing 4-0 at Liverpool because we can't change that but we can affect Monday night.
"It's a big game because the league is so tight again this season.
"The teams below us have had good runs but they will hit another sticky patch and that's when we can capitalise."
Brian McBRIDE is Fulham's leading scorer, with four goals.
Middlesbrough midfielder James Morrison on the emergence of young players Lee Cattermole, Andrew Taylor, Stuart Parnaby and himself this season:
"The fans this season have been expecting more from us.
"But I think they realise we are still young and are just learning the game.
"In two years' time, that is when we are going to be at our peak and and having learnt the game, and that is when they will expect really big things from us."
Aiyegbeni YAKUBU is Middlesbrough's top scorer with five goals - all in the Premiership.

Looks like Middlesbrough will go down after West ham's improve performance. I don't think they can stay in the Premiership this year...
Moreover, Gareth Southgate is not a good manager, he don't seem to be able to motivate his players...
My choice for the drop:

Gareth Southgate has hailed Chris Coleman's achievements at Craven Cottage but expects no favours from his close friend in Monday's Barclays Premiership fixture.
Middlesbrough, with just one win to show from their last eight league games, desperately need the points, but manager Southgate knows there will be no old pals act with his opposite number, who is equally keen to win the televised tussle.
The Boro boss and Coleman were both regulars at Crystal Palace in the early to mid-1990s and forged a strong friendship that has lasted to the present day.
Rookie Southgate, who was 35 when he replaced Steve McClaren in June, is actually a month older than the Fulham boss, who celebrated his 36th birthday in October.
Coleman was just 32 when he took over at the Cottage in April 2003 and he has defied the odds to stay in charge for three-and-a-half years.
Reflecting on that fact, Southgate said: "He's done a fantastic job at Fulham, though I am biased as I'm a good friend of his. -
