Steve Clarke has hinted Andrei Shevchenko needs to take some of the goalscoring burden off Didier Drogba.
Since joining Chelsea for £30million in the summer, Shevchenko has struggled to replicate the devastating form he displayed at Milan.
He has mustered just six goals for The Blues and has netted just three times for the champions in the Premiership.
In contrast, his strike partner Drogba has been in sparkling form and has banged in 17 goals for Chelsea.
Drogba has also scored the winner in his last three appearances and Blues assistant boss Clarke has called on others to help out the Ivorian hot shot.
"Didier's goals are very, very important to us at the moment," conceded Clarke.
"But we're hoping other people will chip in along the course of the season.
"It's dangerous to rely on one man to score most of the goals.
"It's better if goals are shared around, like they have been for the last two seasons.
"It doesn't always follow that you become champions because of someone scoring lots of goals."
