King's Cup: Singapore & Kazakhstan play to goalless drawThe Singapore national team drew 0-0 with European side Kazakhstan on Christmas Eve evening in their first match of the King's Cup.
In the other match, hosts Thailand defeated Vietnam 2-1.
The Lions' next match will be against Thailand on 26 December 2006, 8pm (Singapore time).

Squad of 25 called up for King's Cup and Asean Football Championship National coach Radojko Avramovic has called up a squad of 25 to begin preparations for the upcoming 37th King’s Cup in Bangkok, Thailand (24 – 30 Dec) and the ASEAN Football Championship (12 Jan – 4 Feb 2007).
There is a first senior call-up for SAFFC fullback Hafiz Osman after the 22-year-oldÂ’s assured performances for the U-23s at the recent Asian Games. Woodlands Wellington winger Sazali Salleh, 26, has also earned a recall after the last of his two caps in the FIFA World Cup Qualifier in India on 18 February 2004.
Indra Sahdan continues his comeback from his serious knee injury with a first call-up in six months. The Home United marksman has made good progress in his rehabilitation having started running and will be stepping up his recovery while training with the National Team.
The Lions will play Kazakhstan, Vietnam and hosts Thailand at the KingÂ’s Cup and will begin their defence of the ASEAN Football Championship on home soil in January having been drawn in Group B with Vietnam, Laos and Indonesia.
Centralised training begins on Sunday 10 December with the squad scheduled to fly out to Bangkok on Friday 22 December.
