JOSE MOURINHO has made an opening £13million offer for Micah Richards — and he wants to ease him in against Macclesfield on Saturday.
Chelsea contacted Manchester City yesterday. SunSport understands that Blues boss Mourinho wants Richards, 18, to sit out todayÂ’s home game against Everton in case of injury. But it seems City will defy them. The Eastlands outfit are reluctant to sell their young England defender.
Yet they may be tempted by the fact the offer includes clauses which could see the price rise by another £5m, based on Richards’ appearances and success over the next five years. If the money on offer proves to be too good to resist, the player could play in the FA Cup third-round tie against League Two Macc.
Mourinho held crisis talks with Blues officials after a second home draw on the trot on Saturday. He requested cash to buy three new players and admits: “We cannot defend.” Richards tops his list, though £22m-rated Valencia striker David Villa and a keeper also feature.
City suggested they would consider the return of Shaun Wright-Phillips as part of a Richards deal. But the winger has said no to moving back to his old club. -

Well, if they hold up a little, i belief they can get a bit more like $15m tho i feel he still don't worth that much yet at the moment... Maybe around $8-$10 more like it. But then again, chelsea are desperate at this moment... So, chop carrot head time for city again...
