I remember once they were talking about one of the big team going against one of the smaller team, Then someone said "On paper the big team was too strong for the smaller team and the smaller team didn't stand a chance... then he came out to say something like yes true but football wasn't played on paper was it? ... i was laughing, the rest of the guys at the studio also started to laugh...![]()

Did you watch today's football focus on ESPN at 8pm?
I like to watch this show and always liked Steve's comments and insight. and his witty ways of putting across. hope he will stay put indefinitely in Singapore and continue with the show
Cos they are professional host mah... You want locals wait before they start a sentence they always, arrr, arrr all the time. Remember B & M Richmond ?Originally posted by red_amoeba:why all ang mohs? Can we not have a local who can host a football show properly?
frankly when it comes to sports i prefer they stick to the angmo pundits.Originally posted by red_amoeba:why all ang mohs? Can we not have a local who can host a football show properly?
the worst is the accent of locals. many try to speak like angmos and fail terribly.Originally posted by zocoss:Cos they are professional host mah... You want locals wait before they start a sentence they always, arrr, arrr all the time. Remember B & M Richmond ?
Anyway its espn not sg company, and its watched all across asia.
How about jamie yeo ?![]()
wah u wan shebby singh type on the show eh lolOriginally posted by red_amoeba:why all ang mohs? Can we not have a local who can host a football show properly?
He is not 2 bad a host, but sometimes he can be abit moody on the studio and a tad too temperamental i felt. Richard Keys of Sky Broadcasting is also quite hilarious. It will be a coup for ESPN if they can get another permanment guest from UK, like Jamie Rednapp, or Steve Macmanaman, or Les Ferdinand to come to Singapore.Originally posted by zocoss:John Dykes is the best, he is quite funny at times and he got a good sense of humour. The shows he host usually very interesting... Like Football Focus and First Edition...
