Martin O'Neill has cast fresh doubt on Milan Baros's future by claiming to be uncertain whether the Czech Republic striker wishes to remain at Aston Villa. O'Neill has used Baros sparingly this season and his fears that under his management the former Liverpool striker may not recapture his best form suggest he is ready to listen to offers for the £7m signing.
Baros, who was close to joining Hamburg last summer, is expected to attract interest from Spain and France. "I wouldn't be sure if [Baros] wanted to stay," said O'Neill, who has seen him score only once in 18 appearances this season. "If a striker is not scoring goals then he is going to ask himself some questions. [Baros] is still trying to find the form that earned him a move to Liverpool and won him the golden boot [in Euro 2004]."
