Robbie Savage has penned his new contract at Blackburn.
The Welshman agreed terms on his new two-and-a-half year deal at the end of last year, but he has now inked the deal.
"I've got an extra year that takes me to 2009, I'm nearly 35 so it is nice but I want to push on, I want to earn another contract here and continue doing better," Savage told the club's website.
"It is nice to get rewarded for your efforts. My family are settled and I'm very happy here.
"I think I'm fitter than ever, I'm enjoying it, I'm injury free and on a good run. Playing with Tugay helps it a lot, so I'm enjoying it.
"I want to go on and win something, we've a good chance in the Uefa Cup.
"I don't think we'll ever win the Premier League but the FA Cup, League Cup or Uefa Cup, to win something would be nice and to keep enjoying my football as I have done this year."
