Man Utd v Portsmouth - Old Trafford
Ch 24 - 1:15 m -
(Live)Portsmouth new signing Djimi Traore is cup-tied but Noe Pamarot should be fit, and Gary O'Neil is back after a ban. Sean Davis is a doubt, while Andy Cole, Kanu and fit-again Benjani Mwaruwari will compete for the lone striker role.
Sir Alex Ferguson is contemplating a couple of changes ahead of Manchester United's FA Cup fourth-round clash with Portsmouth at Old Trafford. Although the Red Devils chief is confident a few minor niggles in the United camp will have cleared for the visit of Harry Redknapp's overachievers, he is still looking to spread the load in a busy week that also features two Premiership outings.
Gabriel Heinze and goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczak could be among those to benefit, while Henrik Larsson may be rested.
MANCHESTER UNITED continue their quest for a record 12th FA Cup with this fourth round clash against fellow top six Premiership Portsmouth in Match of the Day at Old Trafford. United are the most successful club in the 136-year history of the competition. They have qualified for the final of 17 occasions, seven of which have been under Sir Alex Ferguson, and five of those were victorious.
PORTSMOUTH manager Harry Redknapp is plotting to bring about the downfall of Manchester United for the third time in his managerial career. The 59 year old was in charge of the West Ham side that knocked out United 0-1 in a fourth round tie at Old Trafford on 28 January 2001, with a solitary Paulo di Canio goal. Earlier, Harry masterminded the 2-0 third round victory by third tier Bournemouth over Ron Atkinson's side on 7 January 1984 - the last time the Red Devils were humbled by a lower division club.
