Nigeria coach Augustin Eguavoen has accused Chelsea of not being straight with him regarding John Obi Mikel's fitness.
On Monday, Jose Mourinho had stated that the teenage midfielder would miss Chelsea's next two games due to a minor thigh injury.
He was then expected to sit out Nigeria's friendly with Ghana on Tuesday, only for Mikel to play the full 90 minutes in the 4-1 defeat at Brentford's Griffin Park.
Eguavoen insists the youngster was fully fit and was happy to play for his country in the friendly.
And the Nigeria boss also took a swipe at Chelsea, suggesting the Premiership champions were not being honest about Mikel's fitness.
"Do I suspect that Chelsea were not completely straight with me?" said Eguavoen.
"I should think so.
"For Chelsea to say he was injured there must be something wrong.
"He trained with the squad on Monday and when I told him he was going to play 90 minutes he said 'yes coach, no problem'. Everyone saw how he played."
