Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has won the Barclays Player of the Month award for January.
The 19-year-old Spaniard has been at his imperious best in dictating games from the middle of the field and now a series of mature displays have been acknowledged.
In a month that was largely dominated by cup games, Arsenal secured three wins from three games in the league and at the hub of much of their best work was Fabregas.
A 4-0 win over Charlton saw Fabregas at his effervescent best and again, in wins against Blackburn and most noticeably Manchester United, he played a significant role.
Jim Hytner, a member of the judging panel, said: "Fabregas is fast becoming one of the hottest properties in European football.
"He has made the central midfield berth in Arsene Wenger's side his own and fully deserves the Barclays Player of the Month Award for his outstanding performances in January."
