Samuel Eto'o would welcome any move by Barcelona for Cristiano Ronaldo and admits to being a big fan of the Portuguese playmaker.
The Cameroon striker believes that Barca should be looking at the world's best players, but has faith that the club will continue to strengthen in the right areas.
Ronaldo continues to be linked with a move away from Manchester United and Barca have made it clear that they would be prepared to pay big to secure his services.
"He is a player that I really like," said Eto'o. "There is always space for great players at Barcelona. He really is something special.
"It is the coaches and technical staff that plan the team though and they know better than anyone what is needed."
After spending four months out of action with a meniscus injury, Eto'o made his comeback last weekend against Osasuna and is looking forward to playing again this Sunday when Racing visit Camp Nou.
Eto'o admitted that he is still not back to his best and is still fearful of suffering a setback if he pushes himself too hard.
"My only aim is to be back to the way I was before," he continued. "There is still a lot of work to do to return to that level.
"My knee is not quite 100 per cent yet. I still have to find the match rhythm before I could play 90 minutes at any time.
"Now I must overcome a slight fear of having a relapse or the knee not doing what I want."
