Jose Mourinho watched his Chelsea side hand Middlesbrough their first defeat of 2007 before jetting off to spend a few days in the sun.The Barclays Premiership champions made it five wins on the trot in all competitions, two goals from top scorer Didier Drogba, who took his tally for the season to 25, and an own goal from Abel Xavier keeping them six points behind Manchester United at the top of the table.
Mourinho said: "I wanted Chelsea to win and win and win and, in the main, that is what we have done. Now we must keep on doing it."
He added: "Credit to Manchester United, they are doing it too this season. We are in a battle. We cannot afford not to keep on winning, neither can they. We are enjoying it. To go on enjoying it, we must keep on winning. It is a simple philosophy."
"We feel we have got a good momentum going now and we want to keep it until the end of the season."
