Ronaldo set to leave United, says Portugal team-mate
Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United and sign for Barcelona or Real Madrid, according to the winger's international team-mate Hugo Viana. The former Newcastle United midfielder went on to claim that Ronaldo "will leave within little time" and move to a club "more important than United".
"He won't be at United for much longer," the Valencia midfielder said. "It's complicated for them to keep him now. Ronaldo has worked hard and, within little time, he will be with another team more important than United. Everyone knows if teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid want a player they end up signing him. He's very modest but, in every way, we know he'd like to come."

Viana and Ronaldo met up last week as Portugal played Brazil in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium. Barcelona's sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, was also at the game and had a meeting with Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, but said afterwards that they had not discussed a possible move for the player. -
