Tim Howard has expressed delight at sealing a move to Everton, with the American claiming the timing of the transfer was right for all concerned.
The keeper joined Everton on loan from Manchester United in the summer and made a decent impression under David Moyes.
With Howard having slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford, The Red Devils accepted Everton's offer of a permanent deal and the keeper is looking forward to a new chapter in his career.
"It is all done and I can look to the future," he told Sky Sports News. "It is nice to get my head down and know it is sorted and move forward.
"It is a fantastic club. Manchester United is wonderful too, but the timing was right and this new chapter is beginning.
"I hope to win every week, I try to do my best and so do my team-mates and the fans."
