Tottenham have lodged an appeal against Robbie Keane's dismissal against Bolton on Sunday.
The forward came down to earth with a bump after 36 minutes of Sunday's win as, having scored twice in helping Spurs race into a three-goal lead, he was dismissed by referee Graham Poll for deliberate handball.
Keane was guarding a post at a corner and was deemed to have handled Ivan Campo's powerful header.
The Irishman was incensed by the decision, pleading that the ball had struck his chest.
Tottenham chief Martin Jol confirmed after the game that he would review the incident before deciding whether to back an appeal and it would appear as if he feels Keane has a case as they have decided to fight the red card.
