Lee Dong-gook admits he enjoyed an 'unforgettable' debut for Middlesbrough and is relishing playing in English football.
The South Korean striker joined Boro from Pohang Steelers in January and has been building up his fitness in recent weeks.
He came on as a late substitute in Saturday's 2-1 win at home to Reading and came close to scoring as one shot struck the post.
The forward was delighted to finally feature for Boro and is now quickly looking to become a key figure for the club.
"It took a month for me to play in the UK and it was an unforgettable feeling to make my debut," Lee told the Evening Gazette.
"I will never forget it. The fans gave me a fantastic reception and I'm really happy that I could join.
"I want to play more and for longer, and will learn what Yakubu and Viduka have done for the club.
"I want to make a bigger contribution and contribution to scoring goals."
Lee has become the fourth South Korean to be playing in the Premiership and admits he has had no difficulty adjusting to the new lifestyle.
He added: "I don't have any problems with the food or the environment, and I'm not feeling any troubles.
"The players are helping a lot, so it's no problem for me settling in England."
