Eggert Magnusson insists Alan Curbishley remains the right man to lead West Ham United in the future.
Curbishley's position at Upton Park has been speculated upon in recent weeks after The Hammers have failed to win in the Premiership since his first game in charge in December.
A heartbreaking 4-3 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday has left the club seemingly doomed for relegation, and prompted more questions about the manager's future.
But West Ham chairman Magnusson has offered Curbishley a vote of confidence and has put his faith in the under-fire boss.
"I want everyone to know that Alan Curbishley remains the man who we will build our future success on," Magnusson told Sky Sports News.
"Nothing has changed regarding our long-term plans and he still has my full support - 100 per cent.
"We showed excellent spirit yesterday and we will continue our fight to survive."
Magnusson also offered his thanks to the West Ham supporters for sticking by the team during a turbulent season.
He added: "I want to pay tribute to our fans who have been fantastic.
"They were one of the main reasons I bought the club and I know it has not been easy to support us in recent weeks.
"They all have my heartfelt thanks."
