Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted he will be at Manchester United for at least another two years, and has backed Carlos Queiroz as the man to replace him.
Speculation in some quarters has suggested that Ferguson may almost be ready to bring his Old Trafford reign to an end.
But United are enjoying their most successful season in years and Ferguson is adamant he has not lost his appetite for the big occasion.
"I'll be here for at least another two years," he told The Mail on Sunday.
"I couldn't be enjoying the job any more than I am now. You can't help but enjoy it with the team we have and the way we are playing."
Ferguson is reluctant to say who he thinks should be appointed as United's next manager, but he has paid tribute to assistant boss Queiroz and declared he has all the attributes to step up and take charge.
"His teaching and his work is invaluable to the success of this club," praised Ferguson.
"People like Carlos will always be unsung heroes at a football club. They get on with the job without the credit they deserve.
"He's one of the reasons why we are playing so well.
"It's not my role to say who the next manager is going to be but what I would say is Carlos has the qualities to manage any top club.
"I wouldn't like to say he should be manager because I don't want to put the pressure on anybody but all I would say is that he is capable of doing the job.
"He's intelligent, he's experienced and he knows the game inside out."
i hope he will 'move' on, unlike the last time, he mention he wants to 'retire'
