Chelsea moved to within six points of Premiership leaders Manchester United as Frank Lampard's 20th goal of the season gave them a 1-0 win over Manchester City.
The England midfielder sent City goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson the wrong way from the spot in the 28th minute after Micah Richards had been punished for tripping Salomon Kalou.
Lampard in the process prolonged City manager Stuart Pearce's misery - this was his side's fifth successive league defeat. -
Good if City goes down instead of Wigan or Charlton.

It's alreays an interesting derby to see with the blue half of Manchester against the Red side of Manchester. Just like the Red half of Merseyside vs the Blue half of Merseyside.

Oh man... Salomon Kalou dived to get this win... That day against Tottenham in the FA cup he tried to use his hand to score but was found out by the referee and given a yellow card. This time he successfully manage to trick the referee... Richards didn't even touch him...
Must be learning well under Drogba's guidance...

Oh my goodness... i am so surprise that you can even say that... did you watch the clip? How can that be an "obvious foul" when he didn't even touch him... Yorkshire clubs aren't doing too well. Sheff Utd don't look safe, while Leeds are bottom of the Championship.
So far, very few clubs from southern (non-metropolitan) England made it to the top flight and stayed long enough. Portsmouth look good enough for Europe, and hopefully Reading can maintain their current form.
