Reports from Holland claim Chelsea have given Barcelona permission to speak to Dutch winger Arjen Robben. The Catalan giants have been strongly linked with a move for Robben in recent days, as a potential alternative to Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo. It's unlikely United would allow Ronaldo to leave Old Trafford unless somebody comes up with a mind-boggling offer. But it appears Barca might have better luck with Robben, according to reports on public television in Holland.
They claim that Robben is free to talk to Barca, although both clubs deny officially that they've made any contact. The reports say that Chelsea want around 23 million Euros for the Dutch international winger - around £16million.
Robben is contracted to Chelsea until 2009.
