BARCA EYE CUT-PRICE £4M ROBBEN DEAL

Chelsea winger Arjen Robben could be on his way to Barcelona in the summer for as little as £4million, according to Catalan daily El Mundo Deportivo. The Dutch international has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp, but Barca were unwilling to meet a reported asking price of upwards of £12million.
However Andy Webster's move from Hearts to Wigan last summer appears to have given the Catalans hope they could lure Robben for a fraction of that fee. The defender freed himself early from his contract at Tynecastle by using a FIFA law that allows players under 28 to leave for a club in a foreign country once they have spent three years at one club.
And as Robben moved to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2004, he reaches that length of service with the Blues this year. All Barcelona need to do is pay Chelsea Robben's £2million-a-year salary for the rest of his contract, which expires in 2009, as 'compensation'. -

He is quick,got a lethal left foot,great dribbling skills,though a tad selfish at times,but he is the kind of player who brings the ball forward and the fans along as well. -
Nope, its different... Lampard's one must be over 28 yrs old... This one no need... it allows players under 28 to leave for a club in a foreign country once they have spent three years at one club... Its quite surprising that chelsea forgot to renew robben's contract since the time he came... Probably not many are aware of the new changes to the Fifa laws. But can this thing work, its still quite hard to say i think cos so far only one known case...

lots suspect that Mourinho and gang are encouraging diving, look at Drogba, Robben, Joe Cole(sometimes), they all dive, i know that Joe Cole never dive when he is in West Ham, influenced by Mourinho to spoil the game? Nobody knows

I hope Robben stays, I enjoy watching him play when he's not having tryouts for the diving team. And he's a great crosser of the ball.
