Villa: Valencia exit unlikely

With reports suggesting that Chelsea are preparing a renewed bid for David Villa, the Spanish international has admitted his astronomical value is pricing him out of a possible transfer from Valencia.
Villa has been continually linked with a possible move to England, and Chelsea are believed to have had a previous offer for the striker turned down by his Liga employers.
Villa's get-out clause is currently set at £70million, meaning Roman Abramovich is the only realistic suitor if the Che stick to the huge asking price dictated in the player's contract.
Reports in the English and Spanish press now claim the Russian billionaire is ready to sanction a club record £45million bid, despite Jose Mourinho previously claiming that the days of spending 'silly money' are over at Stamford Bridge.
However, Villa believes an exit from the Mestalla will prove extremely difficult due to the stipulations in his contract.
"I've got seven years on my Valencia contract and a transfer clause of £70million," said Villa in the website. "Maybe those who should listen to offers are the directors and not me.
"Right now, the options of me leaving are very difficult." -
