Tottenham defender Michael Dawson has signed a contract extension at White Hart Lane.
The former Nottingham Forest man has extended his stay in North London until 2012.
Dawson has established himself as a key member of Martin Jol's side in the last few seasons and he has also broken into the England set-up.
The 23-year-old was delighted to win a new long-term deal.
"It's really great that the club has looked to reward me with a new contract," Dawson told the club's official website.
"I still had four years left on my contract so this represents a further commitment on both my and the club's behalf."
Jol was happy to see Dawson pledge his long-term future to the club and hailed him as Spurs' Player of the Season.
"I am delighted that Michael has signed a further extension to his contract," said Jol.
"He is exactly the kind of player that will be part of a bright future for our club. I've said it before and maybe there are other contenders as well, but he is my player of the season."
