Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov says he wants to remain at White Hart Lane, telling in an interview that he wants to help Spurs break into the top four next season.
The Bulgarian marksman has been a major success at Spurs since his move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer, having plundered 22 goals this season and impressing everyone with his class.
However, his form has inevitably led to admiring glances from the big guns with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United all thought to be considering a big-money move during the summer.
Martin Jol has insisted he wants to keep Berbatov at Spurs and the player himself now seems to be focused on playing next season in North London.
Instead of considering a move to one of the top four in The Premiership, Berbatov says he wants to help Spurs break into the country's elite next season.
"It is difficult in England because you have got Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal - some big names in football with great players, but nothing is impossible in football," Berbatov added in an interview.
"I hope next season we can challenge this `Big Four', like you say in England.
"Maybe we will be in the first four clubs."
The 26-year-old says the style of football Jol has his team playing has been the best in the country and that is part of the reason for his success.
"The most entertaining team this season is Spurs," he added.
"We have scored so many goals, we tried to play good, we tried to entertain the fans.
"For me that's one of the most important things - to entertain, to enjoy when you play, because it's a game."
tats a piece of great news .. hopefully Spurs will be able to finish at least 4th next season.. 5th is just not tat enough..
