Chelsea set to go with the glo
CHELSEAÂ’S secret new away kit has been leaked, a week ahead of its official launch. The fluorescent electric yellow shirt was due to be unveiled at a high-profile event at Stamford Bridge a week tomorrow.The club have been revealing tantalising glimpses of the dazzling new adidas strip for the past week in the build-up to next ThursdayÂ’s launch. Yet in spite of strict security since John Terry, Michael Ballack, Didier Drogba, Joe Cole, Petr Cech, Arjen Robben and Ashley Cole posed for photographs at the clubÂ’s Cobham training ground in April, pictures have already appeared on a fansÂ’ website.
The luminous electric yellow shirt was chosen by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who likes BarcelonaÂ’s bright orange away jerseys. Supporters will not be able to buy the new kit until June 28. And Blues players will wear the glowing jersey for the first time fora friendly against Suwon Blue-wings in Los Angeles on July 17.
The new away shirt will cost at least £30 with the entire strip setting supporters back a minimum £58.
