David Nugent has admitted a transfer to Everton would be his dream move.
The England striker seems certain to head away from Preston this summer after The Lilywhites failed to secure promotion to the Premiership.
Nugent has long been linked with a move to Everton and he admits The Toffees are the club of his dreams.
"I've been linked with them since I was first at Preston. I'd love to join Everton, the club I supported as a boy and wanted to play for," the 22-year-old said at the night Awards 2007.
"But I'm still young, I'm only 22 and could have 15 years left in football, and it could happen eventually."
Everton boss David Moyes is planning a busy summer on the transfer front as he feels players will view The Toffees as an attractive prospect.
"We are going to try to be as active as we can," said Moyes.
"I think we are an attractive proposition to players who maybe just cannot quite get into the sides currently in the top four. I think they will see plenty to like about Everton.
"They will see us as a good club to come to as we are making progress. We are an up-and-coming team, we are enthusiastic and we are knocking on the door and trying to win things in the future."
