Liverpool tables £5million bid for Matt Taylor

LIVERPOOL LURE MATT
LIVERPOOL have tabled a £5million bid for Pompey's versatile left-back Matt Taylor.
But the Anfield giants are facing stern competition with three rivals poised to table similar bids.
Tottenham, Fulham and Aston Villa are also keen on Taylor (right) who can play in either defence or midfield.
Pompey came close to selling him to Tottenham and Fulham 12 months ago for less than £2m but his form in Pompey's best season in Premiership football has seen his price rocket.
Taylor will be remembered for scoring two of the season's best goals in top-flight football, including one against Everton from just over the halfway line. -

Harry wants Taylor stay
Harry Redknapp has rejected reports linking Matt Taylor with a move away from Portsmouth.
Reports over the weekend suggested a number of clubs were eyeing the versatile performer with Liverpool and Aston Villa credited with an interest.
Taylor has established himself as a key player at Portsmouth and finished as their second-highest scorer with eight goals last term.
Redknapp is determined to keep the 26-year-old as he looks to build a strong squad at Fratton Park.
"I want to keep Matt, and as far as I am concerned, he is going nowhere," Redknapp told the Daily Star.
"I am trying to strengthen my squad not weaken it." -
