  Actually, both sides underperformed yesterday. However, i do agree that Beck's crosses are still the best in the business and he provided one yesterday.

  No. Without Beckham, England would not have lost, but they cannot win either. Its a friendly match and you can see Brazil is not playing to win. Neither is England. However Brazil got nothing to play for, England got everything to play for.

  Technically, without him... the resulted header by John Terry wouldn't have happened from his freekick. ;p
  
  That aside, his return did brought a gameplay England has been missing since his 'sacking'. Everytime when he takes a freekick, it looks every bit a threat. His crossings from the right was threatening and purposeful.

  we never know but mcgoreng is eating up his words by inclusive of beckham when he mentioned beckham will not be his squad. come to think of it, this coach is not much difference comparing to SGE for the 'untouchable players' policy.

  But the inclusion of Shorey for left back was a good one for England and Reading. He was one of the better English out there against Brazil. Good left footer.

  Actually, it seems more likely that they would have lost. Even the coffeeshop uncle was telling me how beautiful was Beckham's cross in to John Terry. The papers, internet, media and everyone else I knew who watched the match agreed Beckham had a good match. If England had failed on the night in any aspect, it wouldn't have been because of Beckham.

  the reason why england has lost their previous matches is due to them, missing a crucial missing link in their game play. it's like, yea, they only have chargers, but they do not have accurate rangers.

  Think the answer would be yes, as Becks created the goal against Brazil, they performed quite well against Brazil. England's goal scoring chances only come from set pieces, cannot imagine when Becks retire from international football. England may be current Scotland or Wales unless Downing improves his crossing ability.

  Yes, England would have lost. Remember it was him who made Terry's goal possible.
  
  Also, Brazil actually had a goal cancelled out controversially. Without Becks, the scoreline could have been 0:1 or 0:2.
