Henry odds-on to sign for Liverpool

Bookmakers William Hill have been forced to slash their odds on Thierry Henry joining Liverpool from Arsenal after receiving a deluge of bets on the move. They have cut the chances of the France striker playing on Merseyside instead of in North London from 10/1 to 3/1.
The decision follows a 48-hour gamble on the transfer going ahead and Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe said: "We started to take calls asking for odds for Henry to join Liverpool a couple of days ago and initially offered 10/1, not believing it was that likely a move for the Frenchman.
"However, after taking increasingly more calls and bets - mainly from the Liverpool area - we have shortened the odds significantly just in case there is something to the story, which has yet to emerge into the public domain."
The move has been the talk of internet sites for several weeks a couple of months now but if Henry does leave the Gunners it is more likely the destination will be Spain or Italy. -

Henry has already stated that he would not go to another EPL club to avoid a clash with the Arsenal faithfuls.

Like Vieira, Henry is Arsenal's fans' hero lor. I think if he leaves Arsenal, he'll go abroad and not continue playing for EPL.

you tell them you want to bet on that, they will check the odds, and check to see if they can get concrete information on it, and if they can, they will accept the bet...
they have taken bets on "will Tom eat Jerry?" and they lost a lot of money when they had to pay out this guy who put GBP100 on "Man will land on the moon by 1970"
oh... and they will slash odds and stop taking bets if they smell a rat.. just like when a lot of students went to bet "Fermat's Last Theorem will be proved by the end of the week" when Andrew Wiles was talking about it during the week he lectured and showed the world that proof

Henry has stated b4 that he would play 4 Liverpool if its not for Arsenal. However, his not happy at Arsenal we can all see that. The club lack ambitions and ambitions in a club is what a star like Henry needs. I dont see that it is impossible to go to another club or EPL club, anything can happen in football so lets brace ourselves.

all his years with Arsenal i don't think he would be keen to play for another EPL team cause why would he want to? if he is not happy playing with Arsenal because of the lack of ambitions and hopes to be winning things then all the more he shouldn't be joining Liverpool, not to say that Liverpool lacks of ambitions but with Henry getting not any younger he would be more interested to win the only thing he hasn't done so in his entire carrer which is the ECL, Liverpool might have been in the final twice in the last 3 years but a more realistic choice and a better chances of winning would be to join big Spanish team, he wouldn't need the money, he wouldn't need the moviation he just need a team that can deliever him his ultimate.

If I remember correctly.. Henry did mention that the only other English club is like to play in was Liverpool
