Benitez is ready to go for Darren Bent

RAFA BENITEZ has made an enquiry for Darren Bent. The £14million-rated Charlton ace has become the No1 summer target for Liverpool boss Benitez after Barcelona hitman Samuel Eto’o revealed he wants to stay in Spain.
Bent, 23, bagged 15 goals last term despite Charlton being relegated and scored on the final day of the season in a 2-2 draw at Anfield. West Ham are also keen but rate the England star at nearer £10m.
The Hammers have already indicated they can pay Bent in the region of £60,000 a week and it is unclear whether Liverpool will match it. Bent is on holiday and has told backroom staff at The Valley he is in no hurry to leave. But Charlton want to cash in quickly and raise funds so boss Alan Pardew can prepare for next season. -

Bent is good, but he's just like another Bellamy. Why would Benitez need 2 for?

English players tends to land on the inflated side. Let say Theirry has no qualms moving to another EPl club... heck, might as well bid for him. At least, we are paying for a established striker.
