  well to start off with, i think he cleared chelsea debts already.

  i think he will leave when chelsea becomes self sufficient unless all the star signings all turns out to be money grubbers and starts to leave bcos no more cash cow.. that will probably be de downfall of the club.. they shldnt depend much on de russian..

  Chelsea would not be like Leeds considering their player's class. But if their players mind having a pay cut and considering leaving, and Chelsea cannot clinch a champions league spot, it might become a problem. But as far as i know, Chelsea is not in debt currently because of Abramovich's financal power

  I think the biggest challenge for Chelsea is to balance the books.
  
  but it has been shown, each year, their debt increases and Roman needs to clear them every time. It is not self-sustaining..
  
  If Roman pulls, first thing to go is the players. Those with big wages.
  Namely, Ballack and Sheva.
  
  And then the rest of staffs..
  
  I don't think that they will do a Leeds.. Cause I believe if Chelsea cuts their overheads, they can still challenge.
  
  Of course, with die-hards around, they may need to sell house, to help their team stay afloat..
