Blackburn have joined with ever-growing list of Premiership clubs to be linked with a takeover as investors from the Unites States are reportedly keen on Rovers.
Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa have been taken over by Americans in the past two years, while a large number of other top flight clubs have either been taken over by foriegn investors or are currently being considered.
Rovers chairman John Williams, who is believed to be open for offers, is reportedly examining an official approach, which could materialise this summer.
The identity of the bidder has at this stage been kept a secret, although San Francisco-based magnate Jerome Simon is known to be thinking of investing in the Premiership having been connected with Manchester City.
