Fulham are chasing former Birmingham City striker Walter Pandiani, according to reports in Spain.
Pandiani is currently playing for Espanyol following a mixed 12-month spell with Birmingham, but could be offered a return to the Premier League.
The Uruguayan originally joined Birmingham on loan in January 2005, but left a year later after scoring just twice in 21 appearances following a £3million switch from Deportivo La Coruna.
He has rediscovered his best form for Espanyol and was a key figure in the club reaching the Uefa Cup final.
Reports in Spain, though, claim he could be on his way out at the end of the season, with Wolfsburg having shown an interest.
Pandiani has turned down a move to Germany, but is reportedly open to the possibility of signing for Fulham.
New Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez is keen to strengthen his attack and is tipped to make a bid for Pandiani in the coming days.
Espanyol are thought to want €3million (£2million) for the 31-year-old - a figure which would be within Fulham's reach.
