Manchester City could be ready to go French in the quest for a new manager.
Claudio Ranieri has already turned down the chance to take over from Stuart Pearce at Eastlands, whilst Juande Ramos, Ronald Koeman and Gerard Houllier look out of their grasp.
Now both Didier Deschamps and Jean Tigana are being strongly linked.
English reports say that former Fulham chief Tigana is under consideration, whilst French sources say that Deschamps too has been approached.
Tigana parted company with Besiktas at the end of last season after guiding them to the Turkish Cup, and he is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League.
Deschamps too is out of work, after he left Juventus - despite the fact he guided them to the Serie B title and back into the top-flight at the first time of asking.
