Chelsea new boy's racing mad
CHELSEA new boy Claudio Pizarro has revealed that one of the factors behind his move to Stamford Bridge is a passion for horse racing.
The 28-year-old Peru striker owns a stable of 35 horses which race in his homeland, Argentina and England.
The collection is named El Catorce (The Fourteen) - the number Pizarro wore on his shirt while amassing 100 goals for Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Pizarro explained: "I'm really happy to have come to a country that is the home of horse racing. I hope to buy more horses in England and get to know the racetracks.
"In fact, in England I have a filly who is about to make her debut."
He added: "My best horse was Muller. He won the Triple Crown in Peru and the national Derby. He's an Argentine horse that I sold in Saudi Arabia."
