Paris Saint-Germain president Alain Cayzac has admitted that he is monitoring the situation of Claude Makelele.
"We still have time," declared Cayzac on the prospect of making a move for the Chelsea midfielder.
The FrenchmanÂ’s future at Stamford Bridge is not assured, and he has been linked with a move to Portsmouth, Villarreal, Olympiakos and Milan. Makelele also acknowledged recently that a move to the US was an option.
The former Real Madrid ace was not a regular starter under Mourinho last season, with the likes of Jon Obi Mikel impressing in his role shielding the back-four.
Under new coach Paul Le Guen, PSG are set to restructure a squad that flirted with relegation last season.
Makelele would surely prove the experienced hand needed in a team that has been through much turmoil in recent months.
