Chelsea consider legal action
Chelsea are considering taking legal action against several European newspapers after striker Andriy Shevchenko was once again linked with a move to European champions Milan.Jose Mourinho was alleged to have given an interview about the misfiring Ukrainian's future to a number of European papers prompting Chelsea to strongly deny the reports and threaten taking the case to court.
A statement from Chelsea read: "Chelsea Football Club and Jose Mourinho totally refute any of the comments that have appeared in European newspapers regarding Andriy Shevchenko.
"The manager has not given any interviews to any media outlets on this subject and the club and Jose Mourinho are now considering legal action."
The former Milan favourite has been persistently linked with a move back to the San Siro after enduring a difficult first season in the Premiership, during which he netted just four league goals.
