According to the Hollywood Reporter, Tom Cruise is contemplating the purchase of friend David Beckham's soccer club, The LA Galaxy. Beckham will be joining the Galaxy in the next few months, which is likely to reinvent Major League Soccer in the States.
A source said: "To have Tom's backing would be amazing - there's no way Galaxy bosses would turn down that opportunity."
Cruise sat in to watch Real Madrid's title-clinching match with Victoria Beckham. After seeing Beckham's team crowned as champions, the two couples celebrated into the early hours with a meal in an exclusive Madrid restaurant, followed by dancing at a local club.
David Beckham signed for Galaxy this January on a reported £128 million five-year deal although he doesn't start playing for them until next month.
