Aston Villa are ready to resurrect their interest in Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips and could launch a £10m bid.
Villa boss Martin O'Neill was keen on the Blues winger back in January but signed Ashley Young from Watford instead and the player ended up staying at Stamford Bridge.
O'Neill is now ready to go back in for the winger and reports claim he will make a £10m bid after the player was told he is free to move on if another club match Chelsea's valuation.
West Ham are also keen on the England international but it is thought that Wright-Phillips would prefer a move to Villa Park if O'Neill went back in for him.
"It wasn't a case of Wright-Phillips instead of Ashley, absolutely not," O'Neill said at the time. "Wright-Phillips, according to the agents, would definitely have wanted to have come (on loan).
"When it looked as if he wasn't in Chelsea's plans, we had agreed a loan but it fell through. Chelsea decided not to go through with it."
