West Ham boss Alan Curbishley is reportedly lining up a £7m raid for Chelsea and England defender Wayne Bridge.
Curbishley is keen to sign a left back before the start of the new season and is said to be ready to target Bridge after growing frustrated in his attempts to sign Reading's Nicky Shorey.
Bridge was demoted to second-choice left back at Stamford Bridge last season following the arrival of Ashley Cole from Arsenal but overcame the setback to battle back and become a regular part of Jose Mourinho's first team plans.
The 26-year-old England star only signed a new long-term contract with the Blues last term and was part of the side that won both the FA Cup and Carling Cup last season.
But Bridge knows his first team opportunities could still be restricted by Cole's presence in the coming season and Curbishley is apparently ready to test his resolve by offering him regular first-team football.

Bridge is one of the players i admired at Chelsea. He works really hard but sad for him, the "Special" One failed to see it.
Cheers. CK
