Tottenham will have to fight off competition from Roma and Rangers for the signature of Bordeaux winger Julien Faubert.
Spurs boss Martin Jol is looking to strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premiership season and France international Faubert, 23, is reportedly a top summer target.
The £4m-rated player's representative, Philippe Sol, told the Sunday Mail: "A lot of clubs want to sign him.
"Roma would like Julien, as would Tottenham. But a move to Spurs would depend on if they keep Pascal Chimbonda.
"Rangers have shown the biggest interest and the passion to sign Julien is something that attracts him.
"A move to Scotland is something that excites him. His long-term goal is to play in the English Premiership, but playing at a huge club like Rangers could help him achieve that."
