Atletico Want Crouch In Torres Deal

A report in the Daily Star has claimed that Atletico Madrid will only do business with Liverpool for Fernando Torres if Peter Crouch comes as part of the deal.
The paper claims that there is still an £8 million gap in the clubs’ respective valuations of the player and that Atletico would rather take Crouch in part-exchange than Luis Garcia.
Last week Liverpool officials reportedly travelled to Spain for negotiations and they are set to return this week.
Atletico coach Javier Aguirre is apparently a big fan of the lanky striker and believes he could be a real asset at the Vicente Calderon.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez wants to hold on to Crouch but may find the prospect of signing Torres impossible to resist and could be tempted to allow the England forward to leave in order to obtain his object of desire.
Manchester United are also being linked with Torres. -

Crouch provides a different attacking dimension in Liverpool's attack.
Trading him away is a stupid idea when Torres is unproven at EPL and his scoring records at Atletico isn't very impressive for a club like Liverpool.
