Lazio eye Silvestre

Lazio are chasing the services of Boca Juniors defender Matias Silvestre.
Both teams are close to reaching an agreement for the transfer of the player for around $2.5million.
"I have been told today about the negotiations that Boca are having with Lazio," Silvestre told Radio del Plata.
"The officials asked me if I was interested in playing in Italy and I said that if the club had interest in transferring me because it's good for the club then I agree."
In the first six months of 2007 Silvestre has not featured too much in coach Miguel Angel Russo's plans. -
